.......This is too long.....

Anyways, 2017 is..... nothing much. Some good, some bad, but otherwise, still manageable. I do however need to practice self-control, since it's hard to keep my finance in stable condition.....

Hmmm...... events?

Well......

I've gone less at the arcades now ever since Tekken 7, the only hit fighting game at the arcades for now is finally out on consoles, so most of the players, especially the top dogs has it at least on the PS4 or the PC (and yes, Malaysia is not famous for Xbox One, although there's a lot of them having the Xbox 360, well my brother has it...). So most of my time at the arcades are spent on rhythm games like Groove Coaster (Which I spent the most on), MaiMai and Taiko Drum Master. I do play Tekken 7 a bit in the arcades, but it's not that fun anymore with not much challenge and dwindling players.

But the home version though......

Tekken 7 for the home port is already out on June 2017 (LOL early 2017 my butt, Bandai Namco! XD), and it's pretty great. Finally got some time to practice and do some combos at my own leisure. The addition of the new mechanics such as Rage Drive and the inclusion of guest characters which totally breaks to mold of the gameplay of Tekken was really fun. Gameplay wise, it's still the same Tekken that I used to know, but this game is very pleasing to look in the eye, and is very fun to watch! Previous installments of Tekken looks boring (except if you like some martial art moves) but with the slow mo where both players will give what potentially be a decisive blow was really hype! And the edition of Rage Art and Rage Drive really adds another layer of gameplay in the already established gameplay formula!

The content....

It's okay, though old time fans will get baffled by the lack of content compared to previous Tekken games. Fortunately updates have improving the content, but I'm not the guy who likes to spend money on it, especially Tekken Bowl in which the mode itself is pretty good but it cost a tad bit too much. Treasure mode is pretty much Ghost Battle with more crazy stuff. This is the mode to unlock the customization items for your characters or own HUD. Having to fight in double the speed or damages will be doubled during these battles is pretty fun, although like it's previous literature might be a bit repetitive. The main draw or this game is the main story which is "The Mishima Saga". And oh boy....

It's good. Better than Tekken 6's scenario campaign at least. The story itself ends up being ok at the least, not an NRS level or story but better than most out there. The main draw for this mode is the smooth transition from cinematics to the actual fight, which is pretty awesome! XD. There's a good amount of Easter Eggs for longtime Tekken fans too in this mode! It is a bit short, it might take only an hour to beat if you're really good enough (well I beated it in one hour...). Some of the gripes I have with this mode is that the narrator/journalist in this mode sounds.... flat and uninteresting as his narration kinda kills the mood in the otherwise well presented cutscenes (I mean I know there's no action but c'mon man...). And the side story is a very underwhelming. You'll get the character endings in this side stories, but it's only one fight and that's it. I guess that writing the stories for the other characters are a bit too much huh.... I know this is designed to eliminate the tediousness of unlocking this in the arcade mode but it just ends up being unsatisfactory. Al least it still got the charm of the goofy Tekken that we know today, even though it's not as good as previous installments. Fortunately there are a lot of unlockables in this series, and for the longtime Tekken fans, you can actually unlock all the previous cutscenes and art from previous Tekken games. So you can watch the creepy old PS1-era cutscene with all of its creepy glory! Even better for the PS4 owners, you can have access to all of the Tekken Music from every Tekken mainline games, and you can switch these song for your stages. So you can swap one of you campy old songs to your new game LOL!

Enough of that. Other events....

I've contributed something for my alma mater (Multimedia University) which is Comination, which most of them are cartoonist and student from that particular university. That's something, but they also introduce me about blockchains and the cryptocurrency market in which surprisingly my colleague in my workplace is also playing with before this event! Thus I got my own Steemit account. Here's the link of you guys wish to see it. steemit.com/@gordon92

And of course, Comic Fiesta 2017....

It's okay. I only managed to go on the second day. Of course, the venue being in KLCC makes the ticket kinda expensive but that's what you get for that kind of venue. Of course, meeting old friends, even some dudes from the arcades! The tournament that I'm most excited for are the fighting game tournaments... and it's kinda blows. Those games in the grand finals were a total blowout, as all of the players at winners bracket completely dominates the tournament. The games in question were Marvel VS Capcom Infinite, Tekken 7, and Street Fighter 5. Although the stake for Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5 are much higher, as the winner for that tournament will have a trip to Japan to compete at EVO Japan, one of the most prestigious fighting game tournament. But the night for that day though...

I was kinda stressed out from my work that time, so I was thinking that the final event might blow me off some steam, and oh boy I was happy like a child. The DJ's KorsK and Ryu from the Bemani fame were some of my favourite composers back in my late teens, and finally listening to these songs live was amazing. kradness was really good too, so the night was really enjoyable!

.... I guess that's it. Buck o luck in 2018!

Errrr..... happy to be alive?

Been gone though hell and back, I should say......

Well, finally graduated from my University is one thing. Finding a job...... different story. Long story short, not my time yet in terms of jobs, even though I am a graphic and indoor sales assistant for a local printing and design shop. And of course, paying bills and what not....... independance is kinda serene yet the tension is high, saving money and stuff.... Of course, I got hella bored and I frequently go to the arcades.....

And man there's a story to tell in the arcade......

Ever since Tekken 7 is in my nearby arcades, I frequently go there to play. Meet up with players that are at least acquaintance or friends around my area (in fact today I just met with one of my University friends!) What a small world that we live in..... Of course, I got to play other stuff other than Tekken 7...... and I casually played Taiko Drum Master since it uses the Banapassport service similar to Tekken 7.... and ended up being in Taiko Drum Master Malaysia..... (Dood, Imma casual player....Whut!!!). This game just have me some unwanted guests, like a random girl play with me with it is one thing, but a mother who spotted me playing it so she invited her daughter to play with meeee...??? What the...... Taiko Drum Master you dangerous XD! And then there is DanzBase, though I much prefer Dance Central for the Xbox 360 or Just Dance for both Xbox ONE or PS4 (in which I can only play during some events on my University). And then there's MaiMai and Groove Coaster (called Rhythmvaders in South East Asia) in which I kinda enjoyed..... if there's some song that I actually like. As such, the newest games that I played are updates of the aforementioned rhythm arcade games..... ayyyyyy.....

Anyways, Comic Fiesta was pretty good. Met back some old friends there, which is pretty fun. Also played Street Fighter 5, which was at least fun. Of course I got bodied by the pros since I'm mostly a Tekken player in which I'm kinda semi-hardcore at, and the pro player are actually part of the Street Fighter 5 tournament during the event. Going in and out from there is pretty smooth, so if feels pretty laxed compared to last year.... Made a short video out of the event, though I'm not too fond with my video editing...
Here:

Basically, to sum up my feelings for this year is.....
Ayyyyyy........ Sumthin Sunthin! by gordonjugah

It's a tough year for me, but I got no complaints. With all the news going on in 2017, I might go crazy. But thanks to the arcades, I actually have some time socializing, which I don't really like to do (I'm more of an introvert, even my workplace I'm kinda quiet, except when something interests me.) so I thank the arcades for that, though I'm planning to go there less next year. Plus, it's a great experience going there for my local arcade scene where the other parts of the world (especially in the West) has little to no more arcade scene anymore, so it's really awkward to see complaints from the West about not releasing Tekken 7 to consoles (though to be fair South East Asia and Oceania have to wait for T7FR as well).

Hopefully next year I will have more experience to gain, coz this year was a pretty good experience regardless. Happy New Year!

I'm kinda free for now, so yeah...

The road for independence is here, as I have to manage things alone from now on. Even my mutt has gone with the family to Sarawak, hope he's happy frolicking in the fields.

Although I gotta say this December has been a crazy month. A good one at that! Cloud is in Smash, Bayonetta too, then Akuma in Tekken 7? This used to be impossible, especially Cloud and Akuma. Nice birthday month for me here! Of course, I do watch other stuff as well. Digimon Adventure tri was one of them, and obviously One-Punch Man. Star Wars was great too. Although I have to say I'm not into hype culture, as I rather surprise myself, so this ones listed are pretty great, not euphoric or something like that. Funny because I actually watched the whole King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015 and Akuma in the announced Tekken: 7 FR was really unexpected for me!

Of course, Comic Fiesta...

It's pretty jam packed, but it's pretty okay. Met back some old friends, got my Yu-Gi-Oh nostalgia back with their booth (but then it's Konami....sshhh! ;) ), and seeing and playing some great stuff. It was great, but I bought only one to none there, since I already have to keep myself busy with a Tensa Zangetsu sword that I bought several years ago (no, I did not bring it there) ant trying to not overspent. It's really packed in there, so I do went out from the Mines Convention Center and walk around the mall once in a while, especially in the arcade.

...and that's the first time I played Tekken 7 LOL! That to me was best game to play in the arcade in my entire life, especially with so many youths looking for alternatives for the packed event. Met new players, sharing game knowledge and passion, and manage to play with good players LOL! Guess my Tekken fundamentals were helping me even though I was not so good with sticks (I'm a pad player). Sure, Tekken is some of my favourite fighting game, and for me to actually managed to play Tekken 7 and beating it (granted the Arcade Mode was easy LOL) was awesome, but seeing the crowd having fun in the arcade and enjoying it with them puts a smile in my face, even when I don't know any of these people. It's great for me, because I can play with beginners and experts alike. And when you have the crowd enjoying the spectacle of your gameplay, it feels amazing (thank the Slow Motion and Rage Art for that!)! Let alone playing someone with an even skill level and the crowd enjoying it! It's a great day to spent time with people you don't know with your favourite game. And watching other people playing with their buddies on other games and looking at them having a fun time with each other was magical for me, even though one or two of them were pretty snobby. This might be one in a lifetime, since the arcade business might be as 'normal' as usual after Comic Fiesta is over. I did not manage to go for the 2nd day though, as I don't want a jammed exit again... Tekken 7 is the only game from 2015 that I played, and this experience is the best that I get from this game.

That took too long huh? Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Wow...

How could I said it. Well for once my internship is over. Even though that company is not a studio or whatnot, I still do some sort of animation via motion graphics, especially kinetic typography. Still, I'll just continue on with this experience of mine there and see what lies ahead for me with this gain from that workplace. One of my work though is kinda important, so here it is.

Next up is the whole gaming news thingy, which I heard has gone nuts! Yes, it's E3 2015 and everybody's going bonkers! Although I'll concentrate on one game in particular which I played it like 4 times now. Yeah, yeah, it's the Final Fantasy VII remake, surprise right there... Although they did not show any gameplay footage, that CGI cutscene during Sony's press conference send the whole world squealing like kids LOL. Its understandable since that game is a classic. Right now that teaser video has reached 8 million views in just a few days, so the demand is DAMN HIGH!!! Me personally, I liked the game. It introduces me to the Final Fantasy franchise and many other great JRPG's when I was a teenager, although I gotta admit that the game did not age well graphic wise... But I still playing it till now though! It has it's own charm! I still can't invest that much on today's gaming market though, and I don't necessarily go into new trends that much. I just get whether I can and enjoy anything I can, good or old and FFVII is one of many games that I enjoy. So for those who asked for the remake for years now, congrats! I would not bother much about something like this, but I gotta admit, I was still in disbelief that this thing happened! I am still in doubt on how Square Enix is gonna remake it though, but for now, just embrace whatever it brings.

Jojo's Bizzare Adventure has ended and the road roller is back.... well internet.....wrrryyyyy again!

Other than that, studies are back, my mutt is a crazy as ever!

....hey folks?

Anyway, it's been more than a year since I last posted, and I haven't draw anything for a long-donkey-time. Maybe I was overexcited with my assignments. Other than that, I'm as lonely as ever, but family is fun because well... I've got my times.

My mutt is as hectic as ever. He's a healthy brat now. Very super active dog of mine...

Been very awkward with my media consumption. You can say I'm a bit more choosy these days. Still, I'll try anything for life's sake. And as usual, been hunting those old school stuffs again, but also some new stuff? I dunno.

And thanks a lot for breaking the 10,000 pageviews, even though I still think my page is.... too humble... still, hope everything will be fine and good luck to all of you! Again, even if it's not that much, thanks for the views. Hope to update at some time!
